Roe Green Beesley Green
Community Association (RGBGCA)
From Little Acorns, Giant Oak Trees Grow!
What started as a quiet idea shared over chats has blossomed into a thriving community initiative. Run by the community, RBGCA exists to bring people together, strengthen connections and nurture wellbeing across Roe Green, Beesley Green and nearby areas.
A full committee together with many volunteers are working together and planning for the future. Susan Robinson, Chair of the association said:
“Whether you have lived here for decades, or are newly settled, you’re welcome. We’re committed to creating an inclusive space where every voice matters. Throughout the year we will hold events from summer fetes and treasure hunts to quizzes and picnics on the green. Events that will spark friendship, joy and special memories. We care for local spaces and we will work together to preserve their charm.”
“We are thankful to Roe Green Cricket Club for allowing us to host our meetings in the club house and for opening their doors every Friday morning 10am-12 noon to serve coffee, tea and cake to enable chats, laughter and friendships to develop. Everyone is welcome. It’s a simple tradition that is becoming a firm favourite”.
